This place was absolutely mind-blowing! It had the best location for exploring the Northumberland Coast and the views from the back garden were jaw-dropping. The house itself was super spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was amazing, perfect for breakfast and dinner, and we even had a great time playing games at the large table. The outside seating area was perfect for taking in the beautiful views and it was surprisingly quiet at night. The owners were so helpful, keeping us updated the whole time. We loved the nearby public footpath that led us to the Joiner's Arms and Football Hole beach, and the walk to Dunstanburgh Castle was brilliant. The Fish Shack, Joiner's Arms, and Jolly Fisherman were all fantastic places to eat. And let's not forget the stunning Football Hole beach and the amazing stars we got to see at night. This was a great family holiday, and we can't recommend this place enough.

The walk to High Newton and Dunstanburgh Castle was brilliant and offered breathtaking views. Embleton's Deli was great for shopping and we highly recommend The Fish Shack, The Joiner's Arms, and The Jolly Fisherman for eating out. Football Hole beach was stunning and nearby. The house had everything we could wish for and the host was extremely helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Great views from the back garden and, although on a road, it was very quiet. We loved everything and would readily recommend it for families. Great position for visiting the many attractions in the area. Had an outside lock up area suitable for storing bikes which was an added bonus. Located just outside the village of High Newton this property is perfect for exploring the Northumberland Coast. Easy to find with ample parking for a least 3 vehicles. The house is well equipped with everything you could possible need. A really nice ample kitchen and large table with bench seating for breakfast, dinner and playing games. There are also comfortable chairs and settee's. Very spacious rooms. We particularly like the outside seating area with wonderful views to the distant villages and the sea. On a night it is really quiet. The owners were great and kept us updated via Email and text the whole time. On our last night after dark we turned out all the lights and sat outside watching the amazing stars, never seen so many. One day we left the car and took the Public Footpath at the side of the far left house. It leads through 3 fields to High Newton and the Joiner's arms/Football Hole beach. We then walked to low Newton and over the beach to Dunstanburgh Castle. Brilliant walk and stunning views across Newton and Embleton beaches. There is a great Deli in Embleton for shopping. Football Hole beach is a walk or short car journey away and beautiful. We didn't eat at the Ship Inn but had a drink from it's own brewery selection. Best beer's on the coast. If it's your thing Howick Hall and its gardens is worth a visit. Great family holiday we would definitely recommend this accommodation.
The oven had broken on the morning before our arrival. A problem quickly rectified with the introduction of a counter-top oven and an airfryer to get us by.
